Cruise, 9-23-2009

Wednesday morning to woke up to lots of thick fog! It seemed like it took forever to get off the cruise ship once we got to San Francisco. I don't know how other cruises work, but we had to be out of our room by 8:30 AM. We arrived in San Francisco shortly after 10 AM, and our disembark time was 11:15 AM. So we spent the morning laying on lounge chairs with all our luggage and watching the fog, and hoping to see the Golden Gate Bridge as we came into port. However once we were docked it seemed like most of the fog had cleared. We just had to wait for the group (every passenger was assigned a group and disembark time) we were in to be cleared to disembark, which end up being closer to 12 noon. After we were off the ship, we got in line to get a taxi to our hotel. Our hotel was actually not to far, but would have been an interesting walk with all our luggage.

Our view of the sunrise on Wednesday morning on the cruise.

The Golden Gate Bridge.

A little bit more of the bridge...

Going under The Golden Gate Bridge.

Alcatraz Island.

San Francisco.

My mom took my picture looking across the covered swimming pool area.

Standing on Deck 15, looking at the covered swimming pool on Deck 14.

Looking towards San Francisco and Coit Tower, on Telegraph Hill.

Preparing to dock in San Francisco.

San Francisco...

Me, the Bay Bridge, and one small part of the San Francisco skyline.

Another swimming pool on deck 14, although this one is not covered.

The big screen above the open pool on deck 14. At night they had movies under the stars.
