Manti Temple Pageant, 6-26-2009

Since last year we took Karlee to the Castle Valley Pageant, we decided to follow it up this year with the Manti Temple Pageant. I haven’t been to the pageant in years, and it was nice to be able to get a hotel in Ephraim rather than trying to make the drive back late at night. We had dinner with Robin (a co-worker) and her family before the pageant, which was wonderful! I was worried that it was going to pour on us either before or during the pageant since we got some very dark clouds, but it was just windy for a bit, then cleared off. They do a great job, although some of the motions by the actors reminded me of the old silent movies (very dramatic arm and body movements). Saturday we stopped by the Young Living Farms to see the lavender fields, and enjoy their herb gardens. I love their gardens!

Karlee had fun taking pictures (and some of herself) while we were driving to Manti.

Karlee took this picture of the temple as we were driving into Manti.

Waiting for the pageant to start, and hoping it does not rain!

It looks like rain...

Some of the actors. They came out before the pageant to visit with the audience.

It cleared up, just in time for the pageant!

This was one BIG bee!

We stopped at Krispy Kreme on our way home. Karlee personally delivered them to Dan and Cassie, and to her family.
