Jackson Hole and River Rafting, 7-7-2009

The second day of our trip we went to Jackson Hole. Jackson Hole also has elk horn arches, although not as big as the one in Afton, that spans the road. However, they do have four arches that stand on each corner of the town square.

Jackson Hole reminds me a lot of Park City. It is very much a tourist, resort town. It feels like the mountain/ski slopes are so close to the town, that you could just walk down the street to them.

We did some shopping in the morning before our river rafting trip in the afternoon. To be very honest, I was very nervous about the river rafting. The trip down the river was fun, and I didn’t fall out of the boat (one of my big worries), however I am sore from the “paddle as if your life depended on it”, that Captain Ron kept saying over and over.

There were a couple of companies that took pictures of our river rafting. My mom and I are near the back of the boat. She is wearing a white baseball cap, and I am sitting right in front of her, and we are both wearing long sleeved navy blue splash jackets.
