We were in Cedar City for the 4th of July, for the Shakespearean Festival. In the morning we went to the Cedar City 4th of July parade. I don't think there were any floats, mostly people walking, or driving their trucks. Oh, and the guy driving his tractor! The fireworks were set off west of Cedar City, out by the airport. In talking with some people in town, we found that many people like to go to the north end of town by some schools and watch the fireworks. What I didn't expect is that people brought their fireworks and did those in the parking lots while waiting for the big fireworks to start. At one point I think we counted about 8 fountains going off. It was neat to see that many fireworks so close together, however it was very smoky, and very loud.
