St. George Temple, July 5, 2007

We visited St. George on one of the hottest days of the year, it was 115 degrees, and with the wind blowing, it felt like someone was blowing a hot hair dryer on you! I was even hot while in the temple, during the session. I was shocked when I saw some of the temple workers putting on a sweater. It was one of those times, when I wished that the dresses we wore had short sleeves. We met a great missionary couple at the visitor center outside the St. George Temple, who shared a lot of interesting information about the temple and the construction of it. After the temple we changed and went to Tuacahn Amphitheatre. We thought since it was up in a canyon it would cool down but no it was just as hot in the canyon. I think the heat just radiated off the red cliffs surrounding the theater. We saw the play, "My Fair Lady", and it was great, but I don't think I've ever been that hot.
