Another first for mom and I in 2007, the Martin Harris Pageant in Clarkston, Utah. Clarkston is really out in the middle of nowhere, and basically a farming community. And at night, it is very, very dark, which is great because you can really see the stars. Before the pageant there was a brief lecture about the life of Martin Harris. The pageant is next to the cemetery, where Martin Harris is burried. The pageant portrays the time when Martin Harris worked with Joseph Smith translating the gold plates, becoming one of the three witnesses, and publishing of the Book of Mormon. It gave mom and I a great appreciation for his life, and all that he went through.
