Just a klutz or accident prone?

The Jenny Cam. This is something my family (mainly my brothers) came up with after I had one too many accidents. They thought it would be helpful for my safety and their amusement if there were a “Jenny Cam”. I was thinking about this recently after a rough couple of weeks of bumps, bruises and burns. I can’t decide if I’m just a klutz or prone to accidents. When I was younger it seem like I was always falling down, and had band-aids on my knees and elbows, but you would think at age 38 a person would outgrow that. Apparently I am not NOT growing out of this stage of bumps, bruises, cuts and burns.

Some of the latest this summer…

Burning the upper arm. Okay this was a really stupid one! I slipped on the wet bathroom floor and feel into the door jam, scrapping and bruising my upper arm and shoulder area. In an effort to relief the bruising I put an ice pack on my arm, and managed to “burn” or freeze the skin on my upper arm, which is now discolored.

Falling off the boardwalk at This Is The Place State Park. I scrapped the knees, and had some big ugly scabs for a few weeks. However, it was more my pride that was hurt that day, especially when my brother Sam walked behind me, and tried so hard not to laugh, but managed to ask if I was okay between chortles.

Burned the hand while removing a lid from the stove. This was a painful and ugly one! It blistered within a few hours and a month later is still red. Even more embarrassing is telling and showing your employers (Dermatologists), in seeking their help and advice.

At least my summer has been one of adventures (in band-aids and first-aid creams.)

My left hand, one day post burn.
